HISTORY

Once upon a time in 1978 there was a theatre costume designer who decided to open a clothing discount store. Through his artist’s eyes, he saw the world of children’s clothing as dull and very boring. It was an inspiration. He grabbed his pencils, drew, let his imagination work … and came up with a children’s range that was radically different, colourful and fun. In 1986, he named his first store Du Pareil au Même: The story could now begin…

2000 : DP... am opens stores in Italy, Spain and Portugal. Creation of DP... am Shoes.

2004 : Launch of the 'Club des mamans' Card.
2004 : DP... am opens its 200th store.
2006 : DP... am opens its 300th store.
2008 : H Partners buys DP ...am.
2009 : The 'Club des mamans' records 1 million customers.
2009 : DP... am opens its 400th store.
2010 : Via DP... am, buys Petis Petons and Tout Compte Fait.
2011 : DP... am opens its 500th store.
2012 : Membership of 2 millions customers to the Club des mamans
2012 : DP... am opens stores in Flinland, Colombia and China
